Emotional Freedom Technique
"The cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body's energy system".

This is a 'tapping' technique developed by Gary Craig in 1995. Like acupuncture, it works on the energy lines called Meridians that run through the body. These lines can be blocked or disrupted by unresolved emotional issues. If it is not flowing properly it can compromise the body's natural healing ability.
​
This wonderful technique is used to reduce stress or negative emotions associated with past thoughts and experiences.
For example, if you can think of something that's happened in the past and you still feel a negative emotion associated with it eg angry, sad, guilt etc, then it means you still haven't let it go. It's still stuck in your energy system.
​
Using EFT, it is possible to revisit the event/memories in question. By gently tapping on the meridian points, you can get rid of the negative emotions that you associate with the memory and finally let it go.
​
Some emotional issues can manifest into a physical symptoms. I often use EFT to help with various aches and pain and to help calm clients.
​
